We have our first indication of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond’s commercial performance! UK Charts data for the week of December 8, compiled by GfK, shows that Metroid Prime 4 made its debut at number 3 on the chart behind Mario Kart World and EA SPORTS FC 26. It sold 83% better on Nintendo Switch 2 than Switch 1. The Game Business’ Christopher Dring said that physical scales of Beyond in the UK were down 15% from those of Metroid Dread, although this is only a “marginal” difference of a few thousand units. Digital sales figures, which are rarely shared by Nintendo, are likely to be much higher.
