With a little more than two weeks to go until release, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has been rated in Singapore! The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has rated Beyond Advisory 16 (ADV16), suitable for ages 16 and up. This rating was determined by the use of weapons, including Missiles, Bombs, Beams and elemental attacks, against enemies of humanoid, creature and mechanical nature.

Additionally, this rating was chosen because corpses are present in the game, there is frenetic combat with explosions (but no bloodletting), and certain creatures explode or have their appendages severed when killed with bodily fluids spurting and staining the surrounding area. An ADV16 rating is allowed when a game features “realistic but not excessively graphic violence with depiction of blood.”
