Today, video game strategy guide publisher Piggyback announced Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective, a hardcover anthology art book, is coming in the summer of 2025. With the cooperation of Nintendo and Retro Studios, it includes over 200 pages worth of concept artwork, sketches and illustrations from the first three games in the Metroid Prime series, and Metroid Prime Remastered. The art is printed on high quality paper and the cover has a metallic foil Samus.
A Visual Retrospective will feature exclusive commentary from Retro developers and Kensuke Tanabe, the producer of the Metroid Prime series. Tanabe will also write the foreword for the book.
Preorders are not open for A Visual Retrospective at this time, but we will let you know as soon as they are. Piggyback is selling the book for $49.99 U.S. / $69.99 CAD. Whether and when it will be released in the European market is also unknown at the moment.
2025 will be a massive year for Metroid fans, as it is also when Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is slated to be released! Watch this space.
