GameXplain have uploaded a video today showcasing the US special edition for Metroid: Samus Returns. In it they show off the special edition contents, the new Metroid and Samus Aran amiibo and the special edition New 3DS XL model. One particular aspect of the special edition is the reversible cover that replicates the original Game Boy artworks for Metroid II: Return of Samus. It us unknown as of yet if the European editions of the game, Legacy Edition or standard, also have the reversible cover. The European Legacy Edition does however have a unique steelbook case mimicking the Game Boy cartridge for Metroid II.

Update: Nintendo Force has come forward with new information showing that the standard edition for the game does not include the reversible cover, at least for North America. No news as of yet whether this applies to European editions.

Metroid: Samus Returns launches in North America and Europe on September 15th.
