Metroid Prime 4: Beyond releases on December 4, 2025. Blast your way across the planet on the new vehicle Vi-O-La. Samus and Sylux amiibo are also coming.
The release date for the Nintendo Switch game Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and the Nintendo Switch 2 game Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition has been set for December 4, 2025.

Blast across the planet on Vi-O-La
Samus has acquired a bike equipped with highly-advanced features called Vi-O-La.
A vehicle invented by the alien race Lamorn, who once inhabited Viewros.
By riding Vi-O-La, you can quickly traverse the vast expanse of the unknown planet Viewros.
Moreover, you can use special actions while driving to fight enemies and destroy ore scattered on the surface, as you forge ahead through unknown territory.
Boost
Gives a brief speed boost which sends enemies flying and smashes ores.
Power Slide
By sliding Vi-O-La sideways during a Boost, the Power Slide can blow away a wide range of enemies and ores.
Projectiles
Vi-O-La can fire target-seeking bullets. These Projectiles can lock onto up to 5 enemies at once, and after hitting them, they return like boomerangs.
In areas where it’s available, you can call Vi-O-La at any time. Once you get off Vi-O-La, you return to Samus’ perspective, allowing you to resume your exploration.
To survive and find a way home from this unknown planet she was transported to, Samus must forge a path using her newly-obtained psychic abilities and Vi-O-La.

“Samus”, “Samus & Vi-O-La” and “Sylux” amiibo will be released for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.
Samus (Metroid Prime 4)
Samus Aran is one of the galaxy’s greatest bounty hunters. She wears her Varia Suit, and has a psychic crystal embedded in her forehead which grants her psychic abilities.
Samus & Viola (Metroid Prime 4)
Samus, equipped with the red Vi-O-La Suit, is riding Vi-O-La, which can quickly traverse vast lands. It is larger than other amiibo.
Sylux (Metroid Prime 4)
Sylux is a bounty hunter who holds a strong grudge against the Galactic Federation and Samus. He stands in Samus’ way with an intimidating pose.
